About Kahlen Real Estate​

I first moved to Kingston in 1995 to begin my undergrad degree at Queen’s University where I also met my wife who was born and raised in Kingston.

After graduating we worked for a number of years in Toronto and Waterloo finally having the opportunity to return to Kingston in 2002.

Since then, we have continued to enjoy the many fantastic features of this historic city as well as the surrounding cottage areas, lakes and provincial parks with our three wonderful boys and two dogs.

I feel privileged to be able to share my experiences and appreciation for this amazing city and all it has to offer in the context of a career that I love with all of my family, friends and clients.

New Construction/Resale Homes

As a TARION registrant (licensed to build homes), I have a substantive understanding of general construction guidelines, materials and quality. I strive to bring this background knowledge to assisting my clients in making informed decisions whether purchasing new or resale homes as well as vacant land. While this knowledge is advantageous and can flush out potential problems as well as quality features, it should not be considered to replace the need for a Home Inspection by a certified inspector.

Land Development

I have years of experience in residential land development and am a firm believer in the need to walk the land.

The value of land or development potential is influenced by many factors which I am happy to explore with my clients.

My understanding of the development process is also an asset in ensuring successful communications between buyers, planers, builders, developers and levels of local government.

Investment Properties

My background in investment properties, predominantly student homes, commercial-residential mix and multi-unit properties began my career in real estate.
